Collaborative Leadership

Frank started working with leather in 1973 at the age of 14 in church camp with 5 leather tools and four small pieces of leather. He refined his craft with the help of his brother in law who taught leather work at OU. In the mid to late 80’s with no internet, Franks work was sold over the world just by word of mouth.

In 1991 after completing all orders Frank locked his leather shop started his auction business meat the girl of his dreams got married and had two boys. After 24 years in 2015, his wife Cathy with the help of his two sons Clayton and John unlocked the leather shop and they replaced the dried-up leather dyes replaced some of the rusted tools and surprised Frank for his birthday and got him back to what he loved Tooling Leather. Frank is back but knows with his two sons learning the art of leather work.

The client comes first in everything we do.

  • I’ve been observing the leather work of Frank L. Sughrue of Lockhart, Texas. I’ve watched it develop and mature. What I’m seeing now is, instead of being an arts and crafts masterpiece, is a finished work of art.
